JW Roberts to Compete in Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA West Race

JW Roberts, founder and CEO of Dallas’ General Datatech (GDT), will be among the world’s first drivers to race at Austin’s Circuit of The Americas, the United States’ first purpose-built Grand Prix track and entertainment facility. On November 16-18, Roberts will race the GDT Porsche GT3 Cup under the Kelly-Moss Motorsports banner in the United States Grand Prix Support Race, a Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA event featuring Porsche 996 and 997 GT3 Cup Cars.

The 2012 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX, to be held November 16-18, 2012, is the inaugural motor race at the Circuit of The Americas, a 3.4 mile, 20 turn course with dramatic elevation changes sure to create an exhilarating and competitive weekend of racing.
“The Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA race will be an important part of the first Formula 1 Grand Prix event to be held at this unique, new world-class facility, and I’m honored to be joining so many other talented drivers in helping to christen this track,” said Roberts. “I look forward to the opportunity to introduce even more race fans to the General Datatech brand by driving our GDT car as part of the Kelly-Moss Motorsports team.”
For more than 20 years, Porsche one-make Cups have been supporting Formula 1 Grand Prix races at all of the world’s most famous venues and this tradition continues at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin.
